We were able to set up this website and database will the help of a grant received from the "Stiftung Umwelt und Entwicklung Nordrhein-Westfalen" (North Rhine-Westphalian Association for the Environment and Development) from mid-2011 until the end of 2012.  Additional grants from mid-2013 to end-2016 have been approved by the association, thus enabling us to continue to expand the database and website.
The foundation was also the main sponsor of the African Diaspora Cinema program in September 2015 and it sponsors the Africa film festivals from 2017 to 2019.
