Storyline

In AT(H)OME, filmmaker Elisabeth Leuvrey and photographer Bruno Hadjih look at the consequences of the French atomic tests in the 1960s in the south-Algerian Sahara that are still being felt today. The area is to this day still exposed to radioactive contamination and many of the nomads living there complain of health problems. In spite of this, the contaminated test area even serves as a prison – for militant Islamists. The film has been shown at international documentary film festivals and also in Algeria.
