Ali is in love with Nada. But Nada is a goat. Ali’s mother disapproves of their love. She does everything in her powers to separate the unlikely couple and sends Ali to a voodoo priest to shake the nonsense from his head. But there Ali meets Ibrahim, who is plagued by a similarly peculiar problem: he hears voices. The voodoo expert comes up with a clear diagnosis: Ali and Ibrahim are cursed, and they can only break the curse if they each throw a stone into the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Nile. So the two young men set off on an adventurous journey through Egypt – with Nada the goat...
Talking about the casting for the absurd road movie comedy, director Sherif El Bendary revealed in an interview that the goat was the most difficult character to cast. He "saw more than 2,000 goats to find Nada". He wanted the goat to be "friendly and lovable, have a unique look sans horns, and be young enough to be carried around".
Unfortunately for him, he developed a "goat allergy" during the shoot and he “sneezed non-stop”.
