KHUMBA doesn’t have it easy. Without stripes on your bum, you‘re just not a proper zebra. At least that’s what the other zebras think, and they exclude KHUMBA from their fun. But the partly-striped zebra does not give up. Perhaps the magic watering hole that his mother told him about could come to his rescue? This watering hole is said to have special spring water that once gave zebras their stripes. When the water supply for the herd of zebras becomes in short supply, KHUMBA decides to leave the safety of his home. He`s prepared to embark on a dangerous journey if it means finding the magical spring. Luckily, he’s not alone for long in the African desert. KHUMBA stumbles across countless crazy animals, both large and small, on his journey through the wilderness, including a hectic grasshopper, a motherly gnu and a shrill ostrich who occasionally likes to show off his dreadful singing skills. Together with his new travel companions, KHUMBA sets off on the perilous road to the magic watering hole and learns that his missing stripes are what make him so special.
