Black Deutschland is an intimate study about the thoughts and feelings of black Germans and black people in Germany. The film profiles people in the cultural sphere such as author Samuel Meffire, who combine emotion, thoughtful reflection and humour to convey a sense of what it means to live as non-whites in a society which defines itself as ‘white‘.

Der Film wurde 2006 auf dem World Media Festival in Hamburg mit dem Preis in Silber ausgezeichnetund war für den Hessischen Filmpreis nominiert.
The film was awarded Silver at the World Media Festival in Hamburg in 2006 and was nominated for the Hessian Film Award.
